Q: What is the purpose of this mentoring programme?

A: For mentors, this is a platform to give-back by providing guidance and support to younger Eagles. For mentees, the programme is designed to provide leverage to achieve career and business goals at an accelerated pace. 

Q: What type of mentoring approach will be adopted for this programme?

A: This programme is adopting a one-on-one mentoring approach, where a mentee is assigned to one mentor

Q:. How long will the programme run for?

A: Three (3) months.

Q: What is the time commitment required?

A: We expect mentors and mentees to engage with one another for a minimum of two (2) hours every month.

Q: How can one apply for the programme either as a mentor or a mentee?

Q: Is there an application fee for this programme? 

A: All that is required is that all outstanding alumni dues are paid up for mentees. To download your dues statement, kindly visit this link : My CUALA Profile , sign in and access your dues statement via the Finance tab.

Q: Can one opt out of the programme after it has commenced?

A: We recommend participants only accept to join the programme if they are available to commit for the entire duration of the programme.

Q: Do participants get to choose who their mentors/mentees will be? 

A: No, the mentoring team will be responsible for pairing mentors and mentees based on pre-defined criteria. 

Q: What medium/channel will be used for the mentoring sessions? 

A: Mentors and mentees will jointly agree on the most effective channel. However, given the post-COVID realities, we strongly recommend virtual platforms.

Q: Can the mentoring relationship continue after the programmeis over? 

A: This is dependent on the agreement between the mentor and mentee.

Q: Is this programme open to only Covenant University Alumni? 

A: Yes, this is a mentoring programme designed to cater to the specific needs of Covenant University Alumni
