Degree Certificates

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Kindly note that certificate collection is not handled by CUALA. To ensure a smooth and hassle-free process, please refer to the the guidelines below, as provided by Covenant University.

FOR PERSONAL COLLECTION:

1. Original Covenant University ID Card
   • If missing, provide a sworn affidavit from a court (not a notary public) and a police report—both from the same state.
2. Original Notification of Results (NOR)
   • If missing, submit a sworn affidavit, police report, and a photocopy of the NOR.
   • Note: This requirement does not apply to 2023 and 2024 graduates.
3. Valid ID Copy
   • National ID Card, International Passport, or Driver’s License.
4. Alumni Clearance Form
   • Obtain this from the Covenant University Alumni Office or the certificate office.

FOR COLLECTION BY PROXY (FATHER, MOTHER, or SIBLING):

1. Original Covenant University ID Card
   • Or a sworn affidavit and police report if missing (both from the same state).
2. Original Notification of Results (NOR)
   • Or a sworn affidavit, police report, and a photocopy of the NOR if missing.
   • Note: This requirement does not apply to 2023 and 2024 graduates.
3. CU Portal Details
   • Provide your username and password (not required for 2006–2021 graduates).
4. Proof of Relationship
   • Valid evidence confirming the proxy is your parent or sibling.
5. Authorization Letter
   • Include electronic passport photos of both the graduate and the proxy. This letter must be printed in color.
6. Valid ID Copies
   • Photocopies of both the graduate’s and proxy’s IDs.
7. Indemnity Affidavit
   • A court-sworn affidavit (not from a notary public) stating:
     “I hereby indemnify Covenant University of any liability whatsoever regarding the collection of my original B.Sc./B.Eng. degree certificate by the proxy, in the event of theft, fire, misplacement, negligence, damage, etc.”
8. Alumni Clearance Form
   • Obtain from the Covenant University Alumni Office or certificate office (not required for 2023 and 2024 graduates).

If you would prefer to have your certificate sent directly to you, simply send an email to cvo.aa@covenantuniversity.edu.ng requesting certificate delivery. Be sure to include the following details in your email:
