Woven Market Africa, a sustainable, eco-conscious handwoven textile brand, is looking for a Content Strategist & Creator to lead compelling storytelling and integrated campaigns that bring the brand’s handwoven collections and sustainability mission to life across global platforms. He/She will lead the strategy and execution of digital content across social, web, video, and email. This role is responsible for shaping how the brand communicates across blogs, social media, video, and newsletters, while building a strong brand identity, engaging a fashion-conscious audience, and supporting business growth through thoughtful, high-impact content.
You will plan and manage editorial calendars, identify trends, and translate fashion and marketing goals into high-impact campaigns across various platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and the website. Working closely with designers, marketers, and collaborators, you’ll ensure a consistent brand voice while utilising visual storytelling, SEO, and performance insights to inform decisions and enhance results.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy and Planning
Develop and execute content strategies across social, web, and email that reflect brand values, engage audiences, and support business goals.
Use trends, audience insights, and analytics to shape campaigns and optimise content performance.
Develop creative campaigns to drive brand awareness, sales and stakeholder engagement. ● Ensure content aligns with brand voice, organisational goals, and messaging guidelines.
Content Creation & Production:
Create high-quality multimedia content, including visuals, video, graphics, photography, and text, ensuring consistency, brand alignment, and impact across platforms.
Maintain a media archive of photos, videos, and content assets.
Optimization & Performance:
Track content performance using analytics and SEO tools. Refine strategies and content to increase engagement, discoverability, and impact.
Work closely with internal teams to translate brand events into compelling communication materials.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Journalism, Marketing, Creative Arts, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in media, communications, or content creation roles (fashion, corporate, or creative agency).
Strong storytelling, writing, and editing skills (for both print and digital platforms).
Proficiency in multimedia production tools (Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Canva, Final Cut Pro, Graphic design, etc.).
Deep understanding of the fashion industry and digital marketing.
Strong creative, analytical, and strategic thinking.
Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), SEO tools, and analytics platforms. Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
Experience with photography, videography, or audio production is a strong advantage.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Creativity, innovation, and a keen eye for design and detail.
