About the Role
Lucid is Digicore’s business banking platform, built for African businesses that want modern, reliable, and powerful financial tools. From payments to reconciliation, Lucid runs on infrastructure we’ve built in-house to power the next generation of digital banking across the continent.
We’re hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure that every release is rock-solid. You’ll
work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to test features before they reach production, automate checks to prevent regressions, and keep our quality bar consistently high. If you take pride in catching what others miss and love building systems that prevent issues before they start, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
Testing & Automation
● Design, develop, and maintain test cases for Lucid features and modules
● Contribute to the test automation framework and keep it clean and scalable
● Define testing plans (test scenarios, test cases) that align with feature requirements
● Perform all relevant testing types — including functionality, UI, performance, system,
integration, regression, and unit tests.
Quality Ownership
● Partner with product managers and engineers to ensure features are testable and
meet expectations
● Own smoke testing and sanity checks tied to each deployment
● Document all framework changes and maintain test case coverage across squads
● Proactively identify edge cases, bugs, and potential performance issues before they
reach production.
Cross-Team Collaboration
● Work across multiple product squads to stay aligned on changing requirements
● Collaborate with developers and product owners to troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve
issues quickly
● Push for automation-first approaches to scale quality assurance
This Role is Perfect for You if You
● Have a Bachelor’s degree.
● Have proven experience in QA or a similar testing role
● Are comfortable with both manual and automated testing
● Understand modern testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies
● Communicate clearly, work independently, and thrive in cross-functional teams
● Care deeply about the user experience and believe quality is everyone’s job
● Are curious, thorough, and always a step ahead of the bug.
