SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Woven Market Africa, a sustainable, eco-conscious handwoven textile brand, is seeking a Social Media Manager to lead its digital presence and amplify its brand voice across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and other key platforms. This role combines brand storytelling, community management, trend forecasting and performance-focused campaign execution, ensuring Woven Market Africa grows its social media reach, attracts new clients and increases brand awareness.

You will plan and execute campaigns, produce trend-forward content, monitor performance, and collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and creative teams to maintain a consistent voice and aesthetic across all platforms.

 Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with business objectives, fashion trends, and audience insights.

 Content Creation: Generate, edit, and publish engaging, original content, including photos, videos, Reels, Stories, and copies that reflect the brand’s services and image.

 Community Management: Build and nurture a loyal audience by responding to comments, DMs, and mentions, and encouraging meaningful engagement.

 Trend Monitoring: Stay ahead of social media trends, platform features, and shifts in audience attention to keep the brand relevant.

Campaign Execution: Plan and manage social media campaigns, including organic and paid initiatives, to drive traffic, conversions, and brand visibility.

Performance Tracking: Monitor KPIs such as reach, engagement, and conversions; analyse data to refine strategy and optimise content.

Collaboration: Partner with marketing, sales, PR, and creative teams to ensure cohesive messaging and seamless campaign execution.

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Journalism, Marketing, Creative Arts, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing social media, content, or creative roles within fashion, lifestyle, agency, or corporate settings.

 Deep understanding of fashion aesthetics, brand voice, and current trends.

Excellent copywriting, communication, and creative direction skills.

Proficiency in social media management and design tools, including Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and Final Cut Pro.

Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.

Familiarity with CMS platforms, SEO tools, and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics. Trend awareness, adaptability, and the ability to translate insights into actionable content strategies.
