Dr. Ugochukwu David Abasilim is a committed lecturer in Public Administration in the Department of Political Science and International Relations, Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria. He has been teaching and guiding students and researches in Public Administration, Public Personnel Management, Public Service Ethics, and E-Governance since 2012. He is currently the Departmental Postgraduate Coordinator and Research Fellow at INTI International University, Nilai, Malaysia.
His academic journey includes a B.Sc. in Public Administration from Covenant University, an M.Sc. from the University of Uyo, and a PhD in Public Administration from Covenant University, focusing on Leadership Styles and Employees’ Commitment in Nigerian organisations.
On May 5, 2023, Dr. Abasilim concluded his Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research, Ibadan. During this time, he made a significant contribution to several important projects, including Federal Character Implementation and National Cohesion in Nigeria, Cost of Governance at The Federal Level and Development in Nigeria, Digital Policing and Crime Control in Nigeria and The Restructuring Question in Nigeria: Modelling the Economic Impacts of a Restructured Federation.
He has published in national and international peer-reviewed journals, presented conference papers, and contributed to book chapters that cover important subjects like public policy, organisational leadership, public personnel management, public service organisation, and e-government. He has made a significant contribution to scholarly literature. A prominent professional network that Dr. Abasilim actively participates in the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management in Nigeria.
